Primera is proudly committed to supporting local charities and recently was able to help one such charity, New Vista, complete another of its projects. New Vista, based in Southern Nevada, helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing supported living arrangements so that they experience life to the fullest.
This latest multiple home renovation project was sponsored by a division of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA) known as Home Aid. Home Aid secured the support of Wendy Hayes, Purchasing Manager, at DR Horton Las Vegas to organize the remodel who in turn sought the help of Primera’s Las Vegas team.
Each home can accommodate up to 6 people with disabilities and an additional bedroom for parents. The goal of this particular project is to help young people and their families learn the skills that will 4enable them to return home or to their communities successfully.
Primera supplied Sauder Cabinetry for the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. Sauder generously discounted the full cost of the cabinetry. The renovation began in October and was completed mid-November as the New Vista team wanted to have the home ready to be lived in before Christmas. The results were impressive!
The dedication ceremony was held on December 8th, 2021.
Three additional homes were also renovated as part of this project by other local homebuilders. All builder leads were presented with a certificate of excellence awarded by the governor.
