Primera Demonstrates Uncommon Commercial Flooring Expertise with Arizona Cardinals Training Facility Installation

The Arizona Cardinals Training Facility, located in Tempe, AZ, was originally built in 1990 and not only houses the team’s corporate offices, clubhouse and training complex, but is essentially a ‘home away from home’ for both players and management.

Situated at the intersection of Hardy Dr. and Warner Rd., the Training Facility also features an extensive collection of photographs, articles and memorabilia commemorating the team’s rich history.

 

Primera Helps Arizona Cardinals Step into the 21st Century as Integral Part of Extensive Training Facility Remodel

Although the Cardinals Training Complex is only 26 years old, the many technological advances that have taken place since its construction necessitated a complete $15 million overhaul. 

Primera was chosen by the Cardinals organization to perform a facility-wide flooring installation, which included:

  • 12,000 sq. ft. of patterned, Cardinal-colored tiles in all shower and bath areas
  • 5,000 sq. ft. of rubber flooring in revamped weight room
  • Commercial-grade flooring in newly expanded kitchen
  • Specially manufactured, patterned carpet featuring the Cardinals logo in locker rooms
  • New carpet for all meeting rooms, dining room and corridors

 

 

Challenges: Coordinating with Building Contractors, Working with Custom Materials and Staying on Schedule

Primera was able to work quickly and seamlessly with other trade professionals and was responsible for installing custom-made materials that left no room for error.

In addition to new flooring, areas of Cardinals Training Complex underwent expansions of several thousand square feet, as well as electrical rewiring, upgraded technological installations, locker- and weight room rebuilds.

Since Primera has extensive experience working side-by-side with other contractors, it was second nature to immediately establish solid communication in order to avoid conflicts and implement a systemized schedule.

The flooring experts at Primera pride themselves on their ability to be leaders in an industry that requires a high level of precision and skill, so the handling and installation of items like the custom-designed, specially manufactured Cardinals logo carpet were smoothly completed to perfection.

Even though the project was immense in scope and was performed with utmost care and diligence, the project was completed on time so the Cardinals could make themselves at home as quickly as possible.
